This is my thinking space. Somewhere to have a mental equivalent of a long soak in the bath about anything that interests me. It might be a little random, but there will probably be notes on cognition and vegetables too. I'll save notes on vegetable cognition for a particularly rainy day.

SQL, the -erm- sequel
And so to SQL. I've found a lovely little site called SqlZoo to brush off my sql rust with: it's very enthusiastic children's television meets quite gentle learning. I like. Thank you chaps.
I used to be a computer scientist. And then I got a job finding and developing innovations, growing them from the germs of ideas into business products.
I'd be called a futurologist, except I still get my hands dirty and develop the technologies myself alongside the business development.
When I grow up, I'd like to be a CTO, but until then I'm working on business plans, business improvement, autonomous systems, human interactions, information processing algorithms and the type of network theory that recognises that people still have a part to play in systems but just can't do everything any more. My work background includes signal processing, computer vision and probabilistic network theory.
